These terms set out the agreement between you ("the client") and Easy Does It Web ("we", "us", "our") when you sign up for our website services. By subscribing, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.
1. What we provide
We design, build, host and maintain a website for your business on a monthly subscription. The exact features depend on the plan you choose (Starter, Growth or Pro), but every plan includes the design and build of your website, hosting, an SSL certificate, ongoing support, and edits as described in section 7.
2. Free preview
We may create a free sample design ("mockup" or "preview") to show you what your website could look like. This is provided with no cost and no obligation. Preview designs remain our property and are for evaluation only unless and until you subscribe, at which point the design is developed into your live website under these terms.
3. Subscription & payment
- Our service is billed monthly in advance at the price agreed when you sign up.
- Payment is collected automatically each month via our payment provider (Stripe).
- There is no upfront setup fee unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Your subscription begins on the date of your first payment.
- Monthly payments are non-refundable. Each payment covers the month of service ahead of it. If you cancel, you keep your website and support until the end of the period you have already paid for, but payments already taken are not refunded in whole or in part.
4. Cancellation
- Your subscription runs on a rolling monthly basis. There is no minimum term.
- You may cancel at any time by giving us 30 days' written notice by email to hello@easydoesitweb.com.
- Cancelling stops future payments. It does not refund payments already taken, including the current month.
- When your final paid period ends, your website and its hosting will be taken offline. If you would like to keep the website after cancelling, see section 6 (Ownership).
5. Failed payments
If a monthly payment fails, our payment provider will automatically retry it and we will contact you to let you know. If payment is not brought up to date within 14 days of the original due date, we may suspend or take your website offline until the balance is settled. Once payment is made, your website will be restored promptly. Repeated failed payments may be treated as cancellation.
6. Ownership & domains
- The content you provide — your business name, logo, images, text and details — remains yours at all times.
- The website design, build, code and any systems we create remain our property while you subscribe and after cancellation, unless a buyout is agreed in writing. If you would like to take full ownership of your website, contact us to discuss a buyout option.
- If you already own a domain name and we connect your website to it, that domain remains yours at all times.
- If we register a domain name on your behalf as part of your service, we manage it while your subscription is active. If you cancel, we will offer to transfer the domain to you for a reasonable administrative cost, so you are never left without your business's domain name.
7. Edits & support
- Every plan includes unlimited edits, within reasonable use. An edit is a change to the content of your existing website — for example updating your hours, prices, text, services, photos or contact details.
- Edits are usually completed within a few working days of your request.
- Critical corrections — such as a wrong phone number or factual error we introduced — are prioritised, fixed as quickly as possible, and never limited.
- Edits do not include full redesigns, new functionality, or additional pages beyond what your plan includes. These are handled as plan upgrades — see section 8.
- "Reasonable use" means the level of updates an ordinary small business needs. We reserve the right to discuss a suitable plan with you if requests significantly exceed this.
8. Upgrades & additional functionality
- Additional features — such as chatbots, review automation, booking systems, blogs and additional pages — are provided through our higher plans (Growth and Pro), not as one-off pieces of work.
- We do not undertake one-off custom development projects. If you'd like more from your website, the route is upgrading your plan, and we'll always tell you honestly which plan fits what you're asking for.
- Some requests may fall outside what our service is designed to deliver (for example full e-commerce stores or complex web applications). We may decline such work and will say so clearly.
9. Timelines & service
- We aim to have your website live promptly — typically within 7 days of receiving the details we need from you. Timelines depend on you providing accurate information about your business.
- We aim to reply to messages within one working day, Monday to Friday.
- Your website is hosted with established third-party hosting providers. We aim for a fast, reliable service, but like all websites we cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability at all times.
10. Your responsibilities
- You agree to provide accurate information about your business, and to tell us promptly if any of it changes.
- You confirm that any credentials, qualifications, accreditations or claims you ask us to display (for example trade certifications, memberships, insurance or registrations) are true and that you are entitled to display them. We may ask for evidence, such as a registration number, before displaying them.
- You confirm you own or have the right to use any content you give us, including images and logos.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the information on your website and agree to review it when it goes live. You agree not to use the website for any unlawful purpose.
11. Our liability
We take care to provide a reliable, professional service, but we cannot guarantee specific business outcomes such as a particular amount of traffic, enquiries, rankings or sales. We are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of, or inability to use, your website. Our total liability to you under these terms is limited to the amount you have paid us in the three months before the issue arose. Nothing in these terms limits our liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will let you know by email. Continued use of our service after changes means you accept the updated terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
14. Contact
If you have any questions about these terms, please contact us at hello@easydoesitweb.com.
